The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all online bookings and any telephoned bookings.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions)
will be with Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast Maghanlawaun, Bridia Valley, Glencar, Kerry, Ireland (referred to in these conditions as Stepping Stone B&B)
All rates featured on the Stepping Stone Website are offered subject to availability and Stepping Stone B&B reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
Pricing:
All prices shown online are in € euro per person per night (unless otherwise stated) based on 1 , 2 or more people sharing a twin/triple/family or double room for one or more consecutive night stays, except for certain holiday periods where a minimum 2, 3 or 5 night stay may apply. all food and drink items are priced per person.These rates apply to all pre-booked online bookings.
All Prices are subject to change without notice. However, your price is guaranteed once you have paid a deposit equivalent to 15% of your reservation, A deposit must be paid via payment button on the final page of your booking request

For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of telephone calls additional food and beverage items ). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure.

What the Price Includes:
unless otherwise stated, Website prices include twin/triple/family or double bedrooms private en suite with Shower, Meals see Meal arrangements below. The prices shown online are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and must be booked direct via steppingstonebandb.com , until you have received your confirmation number, are subject to change without prior notice. References to midweek rates are for Monday through to Thursday nights and weekend rates may apply for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
Room only rates are room only and do not include any meal options, these may be selected from the extras menu at additional cost on our booking page
Credit/Debit card payments
Credit Card Security No credit/debit card details are put into our website. we do not store credit/debit card details.
When your reservation is made (you must pay the required deposit = 15% ) you will be taken to Pay Pal Secure e-payments website. where you can pay either by your Pay Pal account or by credit /debit card. no charge is made by Stepping Stone Bed & Breakfast for this service when booked and paid for online, If you elect not to pay your balance online via pay now in your confirmation email after payment of deposit = to 15% of your reservation, Then require to pay the balance at the Stepping Stone payment by credit/debit card are now accepted in house at the Stepping Stone.

Availability:
Availability of rooms at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods. Generally if the room is free on the dates selected online then this is normally so, Unless we have received a prior booking (bookings are time recorded) you will receive a confirmation as soon as your deposit is accepted at Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast.
During major sporting events, social events, conferences and exhibitions,minimum stay rules will apply, the same rates may not be available.
Single Guests:
Individual guests are charged the standard per person rate and single supplement rate, as shown online, individual guests may book a double or twin room and pay a single occupancy. only one room per night is available for single occupancy.
Children:
Children must be under parental supervision at all times. Children under the age of 5 can stay and eat free, when sharing a room with 2 paying adults on the same meal basis. Children from the ages of 5 to 12 will be charged at 50% per child per night (this covers the cost of bed & breakfast. All other meals will be charged for as taken half portions available on request), when sharing a room with 2 paying adults where a suitable room is available. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. The Stepping Stone will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer. Children staying in their own room will be charged at the full rate. single occupancy rates will apply when only one child occupies a room.
Pets
The Kerry Way has a no dogs off lead policy, ask first a €7 charge will apply if allowed
Car Parking:
Car parking is free to our Guests.
Checking In and Out:
Arrival and Departure
Rooms are available from 14.00 hrs on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned by the manager. Please ask for details of the arrival and departure times when making your booking.
Meal Arrangements:
Those rates which include breakfast offer Cereal, Yoghurt, Fruit, Preserves Jam Marmalade and Honey, selection of Breads, Toast, Fruit juice and a full traditional Irish breakfast with tea or coffee. Those rates which include dinner offer a choice from Cooky Monster's Cafe Evening menu, additional daily special dishes may be offered. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests and lunch cannot be taken in place of dinner. packed lunches are available at additional cost € 7.50 (fruit, drink, choice of sandwich, cereal bar & chocolate bar & savoury snack) Our Dinning room is only available for guests when taking meals from our cafe menu or evening menu.picnics are not allowed on our premises.

You may bring your own wine a corkage or screwage charge of €10.00 per bottle is required. The corkage/screwage charge is for the use of glasses, washing , fridge, cork removal. service and bottle recycling.

PLEASE NOTE
Please note we do not allow cooking in any of our rooms, The Stepping Stone is Not a Hostel. (there are hostels in Black valley and at Lyrannes Post office)At this time we have limited toilet and shower facilities, we require sites to be booked and paid for in advance of arrival through our booking form.All outstanding payments must be settled before the commencement of your stay. Children up to 5years free up to 12 years Half price 12years and over full price. maximum number 8 persons We do not supply or rent out any camping equipment you must bring your own. 2 pitches 4 Tents. larger groups catered for by special arrangement toilet and shower facilities close at 10:30 pm each evening and re-open at 07:30am. Sites will be available from 2pm on day of arrival. Sites must be vacated by 11am on day of departure. any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be removed from campsite at the discretion of the owner. no repayment of any monies paid in this event. no refunds after bookings are made for camping sites. no children 15 years or younger allowed on the site without parental supervision. We operate a leave no trace policy on our campsite all rubbish must be bagged and handed in at the main house, your site must be left clean no litter on departure. there is one fire pit on the whole site this is where we allow a small fire to be made. cooking by stove must be off the ground or at the fire pit.
Cafe opens 11am closes at 17.30 daily. Breakfast is available between 0830-0930 in cafe, Breakfast must be pre-booked (Select from Extras menu) and paid for in full at time of reservation.
Deposits and Pre-Payments:
A deposit or a pre payment will be required at the time of booking, in accordance with the provisions applying to the product and rate selected by you. In any event, you are required to guarantee your booking with a deposit payment = to 15% Camping 100% ( any balance due) must be made in cash upon departure. if you require to pay the full amount by credit/debit card you may do so by following the pay now link in your confirmation email link, please scroll down your full confirmation email to view the pay now link. credit/debit card facilities are now available at the Stepping Stone. In the event of cancellation payment/refund will be in accordance with our cancellation terms. See "Cancellations and Amendments" below for details. All camping deposits are non refundable no show no refund.we recommend that you avail of travel cancellation Insurance to cover non returnable fees in the event of cancellation.
Travel Insurance
We advise all travellers to protect themselves with a suitable holiday insurance policy,that covers yourself, equipment and luggage. the insurance should also cover you for costs that are non-returnable if you have to cancel your trip due to unforseen circumstances available Here.
Balance of Monies Outstanding:
Prior to your departure from the Stepping Stone B&B you will be required to settle your bill.
On arrival you will be asked to produce your reference number. Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa via Pay Pal pay now link. or by telephone we now accept credit/debit cards in house
Alternatively, payment can be made by cash we do not accept any travellers cheques or personal cheques
All Camping bookings including Breakfast must be fully paid for in advance.
Taxi's and Luggage transfers You may at the time of booking, by selecting from our book online now page select add extras of having your luggage transferred from Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast to your next stopover all persons or luggage is carried either by our contractor or taxi charges are extra in the event of the carriage of persons, payment may be made with your reservation or to the driver. however it is advisable to pre-book and pre-pay this service as there may be some delay in getting a taxi to our remote location and there may be additional charges. we do not collect luggage from any other location. if you require luggage transfer from your preceding accommodation you must make arrangements with the accommodation provider.
Suggested Routes Suggested routes off the beaten track are that. they are not way marked routes, any of the suggested routes are taken at your own judgement and risk. if you are setting off from the Stepping Stone please leave word of your intended route and your expected time of completion. if you are not returning to the Stepping Stone, Please at the end of your hike telephone to say you have arrived safely at your destination. route maps are only available for download one week prior to your arrival please state departure point ie Glenbeigh, Lord brandons cottage.
Cancellations and Amendments:
All cancellations must be made in accordance with our cancellation terms.
Most of the rates [except special offers] featured on the Stepping Stone Website may be
cancelled without charge upto 5 days prior to the scheduled day of your arrival. For later cancellation or no show 100% of the first nights accommodation will be charged.However,if we have paid any commision to suppliers that we cannot reclaim, these fees will be deducted from your returned deposit. cancellation terms may vary according to the type of room and rate, which you have booked. ie; Camping deposits are non refundable. Where a cancellation is not made in accordance with our applicable cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you 100% for the first night's accommodation and meal package. A cancellation number must be obtained to ensure that such charges will not be levied.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot unfortunately guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to:
* accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
* make alternative arrangements with Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast; or
* cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Stepping Stone Bed and Breakfast in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).
any cancellation or damage how so ever caused by our suppliers guides and taxis is solely their responsibility
For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any online booking.
Complaints or Comments:
Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at The Stepping Stone should be made in the first instance to the manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.
Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to Customer Services,

General Information:
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time.
Stepping Stone bed and Breakfast shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of water, electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events. please take out suitable curtailment insurance.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability in any manner which would be unlawful.
